Hill Top View Over Lake Cunningham

Top of Gladstone Road hill overlooking Lake Cunningham, Nassau, Bahamas. Those are homes on the shore of the lake and far back in the distance are the hotels on Cable Beach back in 2006. Baha Mar was not built yet. The place I am standing was only bushes then but now there are apartments and homes springing up.

The bus stop across from the road that leads to the Bacardi Rum plant in Nassau, Bahamas. The big bat is made out of sheets of painted stainless steel and was made by Stephen Burrows. Bacardi closed its rum distillery plant operating in Nassau in April 2009.

This is the area where the movie Jaws: The Revenge was shot. It's located on the western end of New Providence. I used to dive off this dock when I was growing up here in The Bahamas, but I think it was destroyed by the recent hurricanes.

These are conch shells containing live conchs, a food source said to be an aphrodisiac. The conch is a mussel of white fleshy meat and can be eaten cooked or uncooked. Pronounced as konk.
