Situated off the northern tip of Eleuthera, Spanish Wells is a small island that stands as one of the most economically resilient and culturally distinct communities in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Measuring roughly two miles long and a half-mile wide, this compact cay—officially named St. George’s Cay—is connected by a short bridge to neighboring Russell Island.
