Bahamas to host second Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase

Bahamian film buffs are in for a treat as The Bahamas will host the second Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase, Oct. 1-4. The Showcase, established two years ago, is intended to recognize the work and skill of film producers from the Caribbean region, and to provide an avenue for those producers to expose their work and creativity to other members of the broader Caribbean community.

Owen Bethel, president of Bahamas Filmlnvest International, a sponsor and organizer of last year's event and a member of the national coordinating committee, said that "last year many Bahamians who were exposed to the films appreciated for the first time the depth of skill and diversity that exists within our own neighborhood."
