Atlanta-based Caribbean arts foundation to host fundraiser for The Grand Bahamas Children’s Home

The Caribbean American Cultural Arts Foundation Inc. will host a fundraising reception to support children of The Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian. The reception will be hosted Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Commerce Club, 191 Peachtree Street NE, 49th Floor, Atlanta from 6-8 p.m.

“Good Day, Atlanta” anchor Sharon Lawson will host the night that will feature a special State of the Bahamas message from Bahamas Consul General of Atlanta Astra Armbrister-Rolle. Proceeds will benefit The Grand Bahama Children’s Home.

Tickets for the reception are $50 for non-members of the Commerce Club and free to members. They can be purchased at www.culturaltickets.com and additional donations can be made at www.caribbeanculturalarts.org.

The event comes as the people of The Bahamas prepare to mark 90-days since the deadly and devastating storm ravaged the Caribbean island chain.  Read more >>
