Ringplay Productions Announces THE ODD COUPLE (Female Version)!
1985, Neil Simon returned to his classic 1965 play and reworked it for
an all-female cast. He didn't just change the characters. He changed
some of the situations and some of the themes. The one thing he didn't
change was the comedy ...
Florence Unger and Olive Madison are head to head in Neil Simon’s hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple.
Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms.
Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit.
The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Costazuela brothers.
But the hilarity remains the same.
Jovanna Hepburn encapsulates the highly-strung neurotic tendencies of 'Florence' while Patrice Francis and Sania Johnson-Duncombe (not at the same time) portray the untidy, unconcerned 'Olive'. The group of ladies feature a talented cast of Nicole Musgrove, Stazzie Appleyard, Yasmin Glinton, Arthellia Powell Isaacs and Sarah Burnett. James Knight and D. Sean Nottage are the quirky Spanish brothers.
Directed by Erin McKinney, The Odd Couple runs in the Philip A. Burrows Black Box Theatre, May 24-26 and May 31-June 2.
