Meeting planned for volunteers to help rebuild The Bahamas

Interested volunteers can work from the hangar by collecting donations and sorting them. Others can spend four days at a time in the Bahamas, cleaning up debris, delivering food, and repairing homes.

STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — Nearly two months after Category 5 Hurricane Dorian made landfall on the Bahamas, people are still struggling to rebuild their lives.

Since the storm, volunteers from the Treasure Coast have spent four to five days at a time bringing relief to people who have needed it most. Now, for anyone who may be interested in participating in those efforts, opportunities are opening up.  Read more >>
