Unemployment rate increases

The national unemployment rate rose from 10 percent in May 2018 to 10.7 percent in November 2018, the Department of Statistics revealed today.
The results show that unemployment stood at 11 percent on New Providence, 11.9 percent on Grand Bahama and 7.7 percent on Abaco.
The results of the labor force survey provide information on the labor force during the period of November 2018.
The results also show that, at the time of the survey, women were more likely to be unemployed than men. Read more >>
