Bahamas PM to announce a Grand Prize Trip  for a lucky winner during Dolphins vs Jets NFL Game Sunday December 29

FORT LAUDERDAE, FL - December 27, 2013  - The Islands Of The Bahamas will receive prominence during the Miami Dolphins  vs New York Jets Game, this Sunday, December 29th, at Dolphin Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL., when The Prime Minister of The Bahamas, the Honourable, Perry G. Christie,  is expected to make the announcement of a Grand Prize trip to his island nation, at half time from Center Field.

The promotional opportunity to take place at Sunday’s huge game is a part of the tactical marketing efforts of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, in their continuous drive to promote Tourism to the archipelagic chain of 700 Islands - the closest destination to the U.S. Coastline, only 55 miles away at the nearest point.

The BMOT’s Sports Tourism Department, over the past few months have been aggressive in deploying  a strategic plan including impactful initiatives aligning themselves with major athletic brands including organizations such as The Miami Dolphins, to significantly increase exposure for 16 of their country's branded Islands with infrastructure supporting the Tourism industry.

As a result of the contractual partnership between The Bahamas and The Dolphins organization,  The Bahamas will receive maximized visibility at the much touted NFL Game this Sunday, Dolphins vs the New York Jets, which is expected to be one of the biggest of the season.

In addition to The Bahamian Prime Minister’s appearance on Dolphin’s center field, thousands of NFL fans at Sunday’s game will be given the opportunity to experience Bahamas domination on the 100 level of the Dolphin’s Stadium.  The pageantry on the 100 level includes the wrapping of an entire area including walls and pillars of Bahamas themed posters including the "Behold" posters.

The themed area of the stadium, “Bahamas Bash” also features cultural Bahamas domination with brightly colored benches and tables duplicating the colors of the petals of the Bahamas logo as well as Bahamian music and "Bahama Mama" drinks available at the bar.

Following Sunday’s game information is expected to be released on an upcoming Dan Marino and Dolphins Legends Weekend in The Bahamas,  Spring of 2014.

A delegation of Bahamas Cabinet Ministers is expected to be in attendance with The Bahamas Prime Minister at Sunday’s Game.  The Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe and Minister of  Sports the Hon. Dr. Danny Johnson are among the delegation which also includes Ministers the  Hon. Michael Halkitis, Hon. Bernard Nottage and Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin.

Bahamas industry partners working with them in their Dolphin initiatives include The Grand Lucayan Resort and Pelican Bay Resort, Grand Bahama along with Bahamasair, The Bahamas' flag carrier.
