Press Conference Advisory...St. Bonaventure University is Back!

St. Bonaventure University out of New York is back once again on Grand Bahama Island for the 3rd Annual Small Business Workshop. SBU has been coming to Grand Bahama for a number of years providing community service to the inner city communities of Grand Bahama. Additionally, SBU business students, lecturers and leading businessmen from the New York area have been empowering the business community with the skills for improving business viability.

Under the theme, 'Ready! Set! Grow! a 3-day FREE Workshop will be held at Calvary Temple Youth Chapel on Clive Avenue from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Monday Jan. 7th to Wednesday Jan. 9th, 2013.

St. Bonaventure in effort to give back will also include a Technology Open House showcasing business software and cloud computing with a focus on the industrial, education, tourism and small business sectors.

Furthermore, past attendees of the workshop Mrs. Cindy de Gregory of Take the Cake, Mr. & Mrs. Newton Missick of Better to Serve You and Mr. Dave Pinder from Auto Tech Enterprise are the first three who have been selected for FREE business consultation. Others will be selected during the workshop.

Special Guest Facilitators for 2013 include 2nd time facilitator Mr. Bob Dougherty of PriceWaterHouse and newcomer Mr. Bernard Stoeckein Chair and CEO of CMS Mid-Atlantic Inc.

Sen. J. Kwasi Thompson, continues to sponsor and support this effort to develop the small and medium business sector of Grand Bahama. Also providing on island business advisory services and event management to St. Bonaventure University is Raquel Hart from Out of the Box Strategy Group. Special thanks is also extended to Calvary Temple, BWA, Island Springs and Grand Lucayan Resort for their partnership.

The session promises to be exciting and educational. Participants will obtain skills in the areas of Understanding Cash Flow, Strategic Planning versus Operational Planning and Customer Retention an Investment.
