NAB South Florida presents Miami's Next Generation of Artists

National Association of The Bahamas To Sponsor Art Wine and Cheese Fete featuring Miami Art Students


FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – October 12, 2012 - The National Association of The Bahamas in conjunction with the Ancient Spanish Monastery Foundation, will present a free Art, Wine and Cheese reception that is open to the public and will take place at the Ancient Spanish Monastery, 16711 W. Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, October 17th, 7-9:00 p.m.

The event will be the first of its kind to take place at the beautiful, historic Spanish Monastery; The venue’s luscious gardens and magnificent columns will be transformed into a showcase of talent featuring these gifted students.

Up to two pieces of work will be presented from some 15 students in grades 9 through 12. Among the High schools scheduled to participate are Dr. Michael M Krop, Northwestern, Dash, New World, Doral Academy of the Arts, Coral Reef and South Miami.

Guests attending will enjoy an assortment of complimentary cheeses, wines and soft drinks in the beautiful environs, as they admire the unique talents of the students.

“The National Association of The Bahamas is proud to be a part of this event that will expose the gifts and talents of our youth – our future,” said Rosamon Gomez, President of NAB.

Ms. Gomez also said that the free event is the Association’s gift to the community. “All are welcome to join us as we. “Look into the future and present, Miami’s next generation of artists.”

The National Association of The Bahamas is in its 19th year as a Bahamian organization for Bahamians and those of Bahamian descent in The South Florida area. The goals of the organization include: Promoting opportunities for the interaction and networking of members; Fostering growth and prosperity of businesses and individuals; Increasing employment opportunities; Enhancing the economic stability of the Bahamian community and encouraging and stimulating private enterprise.
