New Bahamian Cookbook Published by North Andros High Teacher

So you think Authentic Bahamian meals only consist of Macaroni and Cheese, Peas N’ Rice, Fried Plantain, Potato Salad, Fried Fish or Chicken? Think Again! For years Island Folks have been doing it their way by using what’s readily available. Wild Boars, Wild Pigeons, Crabs, Mangoes, Sapodilla and Tamarind have all been infused into local cuisine to create a unique culinary blend.

A new cookbook recently published puts a new twist on Bahamian Cooking, offering a tantalizing mix of traditional favourites with a touch of “Andros Ann.”

The cook book fittingly titled, “Cooking the Andros Ann Way,” has been a work in progress for the past 25 years.
