Pineridge Tennis Camp

Grand Bahama – August 19 – Out of the Box Bahamas

The Pineridge Back to School Tennis Camp which is sponsored in part by the Member of Parliament for Pineridge, the Hon. J. Kwasi Thompson is in its third year providing FREE tennis lessons to children between the ages of 8 – 14 years old which will be held at the C.A. Smith Park.

The tennis camp will be held from Monday August 22nd, to Saturday August 27th, 2011 with sessions starting at 9am to 12 noon daily. The camp will climax on Saturday August 27th, 2011 with special exhibition matches and awards presentation.

This year the camp will have in attendance top Bahamian female Tennis Player Larikah Russell who is presently the #1 ranked female tennis player in the Bahamas and is now a full time international professional player. The tennis camp is coordinated by Mr. Patrick Munroe in carrying out the legacy of his son Levaughn Munroe a well-known player who also worked with teaching the fundamentals of tennis to young people.

The objective of the Pineridge Back to School Camp is to provide children with the opportunity to learn a sport that can possibly aid them in their educational pursuits in addition to learning discipline and bringing awareness to healthy lifestyle as they head back to school. This camp will provide our youth with a wholesome alternative to climax summer activities and gear them up for classroom.

The young people of the Pineridge Community between the ages of 8 – 14 years old are invited to attend this FREE tennis camp.
