KLR Management Group Ltd. Secures Nominations For Bahamian Artists At The 6th Annual South Florida Gospel Music Awards

Nassau, The Bahamas…A business still considered to be in its infancy and a well kept Caribbean music industry secret, KLR Management Group Ltd. is already proving to be successful in taking clients to the international arena.

KLR Management Group Ltd. President, Keith Rolle officially released the names of artists he represents, who are now nominees in the 6th Annual South Florida Gospel Music Awards at Covenant Centre International on November 4th and 5th in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

"Each nominated artist signed a distribution agreement with KLR, so we went the extra mile and submitted their projects for The South Florida Gospel Music Awards. Although Manifest is no longer with KLR for Management and Distribution, we decided to let the nomination stand.", revealed Rolle. “Nominated in the Hip Hop division are Manifest and J.Chase. In the Female Contemporary artist category representing the Bahamas is Jaynelle and for Female Traditional Gospel is Sunae Russell. We are also really delighted with new artist, V-Mac who is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and his song Elevations is up for Song of The Year. C.R.E.A.M is also to be congratulated for their nomination in the Hip Hop division as well.”

The 6 nominations, representing 5 Bahamian artists, solidify Rolle’s respected presence on the international scene and has confirmed his ability to take Bahamian entertainers into a new market.

“All of these artists have worked hard to get where they are and they are able to not only compete but present a complete professional package to their international audience,” Rolle commended the artists. “One thing I believe in is networking and at KLR we are creating strategic networks with our affiliates in Atlanta, Miami, Tennessee, Washington D.C. and Toronto to help raise a platform for our artists and their products. Additionally, Bahamians can go to and vote for their countrymen.”

Mr. Rolle is well versed in the entertainment industry with nearly a decade and a half of working in various capacities with other well known entities as a manager, retailer, assistant, radio show host, sales executive, and former C.O.O. for an international digital distribution company. He has also served on music and distribution label, Creative Soul Entertainment and worked closely with the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards. He says being accepted as nominees provides tremendous opportunities for the nation.

“Right now, we are looking at having a Bahamian contingent at the awards show to represent the country,” said Rolle. “J. Chase and Jaynelle hail from the beautiful island of Eleuthera, Sunae Russell was born on the island of Andros, Manifest is originally from Grand Bahama and V Mac was born here on the island capital of New Providence. It will be a tremendous opportunity for sponsors looking to align themselves with positive, quality and productive Bahamians who will appear on the red carpet, be photographed by foreign media and hopefully give an acceptance speech thanking those who helped them get there when they win the award. This is not just about music but about showing what this great little nation is capable of producing as a whole.”

Founded by Peppi Hendrix in 2004, the South Florida Gospel Music Awards has seen tremendous growth and development since it's inception. "The South Florida Gospel Music Awards (SFGMA) was created as a venue to recognize and give meaningful and maximum exposure, to those independent gospel artists who have made an impact through the medium of gospel music throughout the United States, Canada, The Bahamas, Caribbean Islands, the United Kingdom and the World." said Mr Hendrix. "The Awards boasts such National and International Corporate Sponsors as The Islands of the Bahamas Tourism Office, The Florida Gospel Announcers Guild of the GMWA, Inc, State Farm Insurance, Geffen and Universal Records, The Bobby Jones Complex for Preservation, SFGN, BBTV, The FL. Dept. of Health and Gospel USA Magazine, just to name a few." He continued, "This year we are expecting 1,500+ attendees to attend throughout the SFGMA Weekend Events. The event is FREE to attend, however you must register."
