Bahamas Red Cross Peer Educator Training
Over the last month 17 Peer educators have been trained by the Bahamas Red Cross Caribbean HIV AIDS Project in knowledge and skills related to HIV and AIDS prevention, safer behaviours, communication skills and peer education approaches. The training which is interactive and fun equips the Peer Educators to work in their communities spreading their skills and knowledge with other young people in the prevention of HIV.
This project, funded by the American Red Cross, is still looking for interested young people to be trained and to become volunteers. You can contact the Bahamas Red Cross office on 322 9451 or email Amanda Lewis on Chappcbahamas@gmail.com
