NUTT GOES NUTS AFTER WINNING FREE TICKETS TO UPCOMING PLAY ‘THE CABINET’:

Writer, producer and star of the latest comedy to hit the Dundas stage Ward Minnis (left) presents Niven Nutt (right) with tickets to his play The Cabinet which premiers April 1, 2011. Nutt snagged the first pair of giveaway tickets after joining The Cabinet’s Facebook group and following instructions to watch cast members of The Cabinet on JCN’s Dialogue with Etoile Pinder. He correctly guessed that her name means ‘star’.

“I’m very excited about it [winning],” Nutt said. “Winning the tickets is awesome…After seeing Yes, Prime Minister in London, I became interested in political comedy. That play was hysterical and revealed the nuances of local politics in London. In this case, I hope [The Cabinet] delves into the nuances of our local politics.”

Minnis remains tightlipped on what issues his political satire tackles but noted that it’s going to be “scandalous”.

For more chances to win or purchase tickets visit www.facebook.com/cabinetplay or www.cabinetplay.com in addition to listening to local radio and watching local television.
