Bahamian Writer Paul Bethel as "Beth Andrews"

Paul Bethel:

"I’m probably the most famous unknown novelist in the Bahamas. I was born, raised and educated (a little) right here in Nassau. Even as a child, I made up ghost stories to tell to the neighbourhood kids. I was reading and writing at a very early age, and always dreamed of being a published writer, and my first job was with The Nassau Guardian in Oakes Field.

When I began writing romance, I adopted the name “Beth Andrews” from my surname (Bethel) and my middle name (Andrew). My most recent books have been Cosy Mysteries set during the English Regency. I am currently a member of the CWA (Crime Writers Association) of the U.K.

My books can be found in libraries from New York to New Zealand. I’ve also had articles published in magazines like Mystery Scene, Affaire de Coeur and Jane Austen’s Regency World. Meanwhile, I have a part-time “day job” here in Palmdale, and still dream about earning enough from my writing to do it full-time. (In other words, I live in a fantasy world!)"

My published novels are:

The Marplot Marriage (1999), by Regency Press, U.S.
A Scandalous Secret (2004), Robert Hale Ltd., London
St. George and the Dragon (2005), Robert Hale
Stolen Waters (2005), Robert Hale
Hidden in the Heart (2006) Robert Hale
The Unforgiving Eye (2008) Robert Hale
