"Driven by the Stars" - Biography of Sir Durward Knowles

Durward Randolp Knowles, the first Bahamian Olympic Gold medalist for sailing, is one of the greatest yachtsmen in the world. His childhood years in The Bahamas are fascinating, his accomplishments in the Star Class are unequaled, and his devotion to family and community have won admiration from all who have come to know him.

His life is wrapped in a quilt-like blanket of stories; each patch a story with its own time, its own flavour and interest. Each is carefully placed so as to serve in an overall pattern, a pattern of Durward's own design. One can view a section with interest, but when viewed as a whole, one realizes certain characteristics are woven throughout.

Recently re-released, "Driven by the Stars" will attempt to relate these stories and bring the reader to know the design of this remarkable man.
