Joseph Spence

Joseph Spence played the guitar and sang, if you can call it that. It's hard to say exactly what he did. He grunted. He snorted. He made low gutteral noises. He sang a demented sounding sort of scat. His guitar playing is idiosyncratic and his repertoire is eclectic, and to the best of my knowledge, no musician has been able to successfully imitate him, not that it would be a particularly fruitful endeavor if accomplished.
